Welcome to my Page

Reason for this site

I have decided to create this site to journal my journey back to riding motorbikes.

For the past 10 years I have always had use of a motorcycle or had one myself.

The town in Brazil that we lived in was really good for trail biking and my brother in law had a coffee plantation that was also one of the best places in the area to ride dirt bikes so at a minimum I rode dirt bikes there most weekend so dirt bikes have been a big part of my life. We also had a really good area just behind our house where I would ride a lot after work or at weekends.

3 years ago no my family and myself moved back to the UK from Brazil and I have been without a motorcycle since then.

Since moving back to the UK I have been heavily into racing BMX bikes which has take up most of my time and money and for a couple of years it filled the hole of not having a motorbike but recently I have been missing motorbikes more and more. Until the end of last year when I decided at the last minute to take my CBT.

Since completing the CBT I realized that I needed to get another bike as soon as I can!

I was planning to save the money and take my test ASAP after xmas but I was then asked to work in Seattle for a couple of months so that had to be put on hold.

While being away I have been thinking about what to do regarding bikes and I have decided to take my time to take my test as I can legally ride a 125cc on L plates for 2 years I might as well do this to gain experience and also cut down the amount I am currently spending on petrol a month (around £500 a month at the moment).

This brings me to this point in my decision making process so I decided to start this site to keep a record of my journey back to motorbikes. I also want to record all of the upgrades that I do the whatever bike I buy and also the total cost of ownership going forwards.
